Rick Craig Cofounder and Principal Partner

Rick is a Cofounder and Principal Partner of Domain Builders, and CEO of affiliated development company, CityStreet Residential Partners. With his 31+ years of multifamily development experience, Rick’s extensive experience dates back to 1985 and comes through Finger Companies, Trammell Crow Residential, Gables Residential Trust, and Simmons Vedder Partners. Over the years Rick has managed the development of 6,000+ multi-family units in all the major Texas markets. Rick is intimately familiar with the full spectrum of development including site acquisition, entitlements, design, construction, and lease-up. His projects have won both local and national awards including Best Development by a REIT. Rick is a graduate of the University of Georgia and is an active member of the National Multifamily Housing Council, Houston Apartment Association, and Memorial Park Conservancy.

Don Milbauer Cofounder and President

After an impressive 39-year tenure in the construction industry, Don capitalizes on his immense knowledge with the establishment of Domain Builders. Leading a cultivated team of elite professionals, Don brings vision, direction, and guidance to his continued success in residential, multifamily, commercial construction and development projects.

Founding Domain Builders in Houston, Texas in 2016, Don seized the opportunity to offer the construction industry a fresh perspective. Despite a construction-dense region, Domain Builders challenges current standards by offering consciously executed plans and projects thanks to a breadth of knowledge from a loyal and vastly experienced team. In a short time, Domain Builders has made swift progress in bringing homegrown values of commitment, ingenuity and excellence back to the forefront of Houston construction.

Prior to Domain Builders, Don completed more than a billion dollars in multifamily projects spanning across Texas and the east coast from Boston to Tampa. Working with national development companies J.P.I., Greystar Development & Construction, and The Hanover Company, he obtained a multifaceted skillset which drives his deep-rooted team mentality. As part of these teams, Don oversaw all aspects of the operational successes of his teams, including due diligence process, environmental impact studies, budgets, scheduling, and consultant management.

A New York native, Don is now a well-acclimated Texan, having called the Greater Houston area home for 30 years. In this time, he has enjoyed watching and aiding in the dynamic success and growth of the community and city at large. Don is an active member of the Clear Lake Shores community where he happily embraces all the joys of being on the water, especially when joined by his wife and grandchildren.

Bryan Tufts Bryan Tufts, Senior VP of Operations

Bryan has spent 32 years working in the construction industry and is thoroughly familiar with all phases of construction, having performed the roles of Estimator, Superintendent, Project Manager, Project Executive, and Vice President. Over the years Bryan has developed a love for multifamily and a desire to focus exclusively on building apartment projects. Prior to joining Domain Builders, as Sr Vice President of Operations, Bryan spent the last nine years starting the Houston Multifamily Division for Arch-Con Construction. In the role of Division Vice President, Bryan was responsible for business development, preconstruction, estimating, construction, and overall management of the multifamily division. During the nine years Bryan procured and managed over $800 million in projects with a total of 4,500 new apartment units. Bryan has built all types of multifamily projects including an 18-story midrise, podium projects (9 story to 7 stories), multifamily wraps, mixed use, garden style, and BTR projects. His projects have included cast in place, wood frame and load bearing metal stud structures, with cast-in place and precast garages. In his entire construction career, Bryan has constructed over $980 million in multifamily projects and 6,000 total units.

Bryan has worked on a wide range of project types including hospitals, football stadium expansions, performing arts, convention centers, schools, museums, and multifamily. In all Bryan has completed over $1.3 billion dollars in construction work. Through his wide range of experience, Bryan can develop a thorough plan to guide a project from a conceptual stage to construction and completion. Bryan strives to develop project teams that fully understand the project and are driven to deliver high quality projects on time and on budget.

Bryan is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Construction Science and for the last 20 years has been a resident of Houston, Texas. In his spare time, Bryan enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and traveling

Kim Sprague Kim Sprague, Vice President of Construction

With over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Kim Sprague brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and hands-on expertise to Domain Builders as Vice President of Construction. She has led projects from small renovations to large ground up buildings in the areas of multifamily, healthcare, higher education, and hospitality. For the past nine years, Kim has focused on Multifamily projects where she has overseen various types including podium, multifamily wraps, mixed use, garden style, and BTR projects.

Throughout her career, she has been involved in over $700 million in construction projects. Kim enjoys working closely with Owners and Design teams to provide guidance and transparency with budgets and constructability. It is also her goal to create positive team environments throughout the course of construction to achieve successful projects for all involved. Additionally, Kim graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Environmental Design degree and a Master of Science in Construction Management degree.

Todd Martin Todd Martin, General Superintendent

Since 1996, Todd’s journey in the construction industry has been marked by steady progression and unwavering dedication. Starting as a carpenter, he quickly transitioned to Assistant Superintendent in 1998, gaining hands-on experience and leadership skills. In 2017, he joined Domain as a Superintendent, overseeing two significant projects and ensuring top-notch quality and collaboration.

Recognizing his contributions, Todd was promoted to General Superintendent, where he has since led twelve diverse projects. With a focus on efficiency and excellence, he has optimized processes, fostered teamwork, and upheld the highest standards of quality and safety. Moving forward, Todd remains committed to driving success and innovation in new construction multi-family developments, leveraging his extensive experience and passion for excellence.
